Delete your WordTree account

You can delete your WordTree account and the data stored with it at any time, from the app or by email.

In the app

  1. Open WordTree and go to Settings → Account.
  2. Tap Delete account.
  3. Type DELETE to confirm.

By email

If you no longer have the app, email support@wordtree.app with the subject "Delete my account". Include your handle, and send it from the email address you signed in with if you used one. I'll confirm once it's done.

What is deleted

Within seven days of your request:

  • Your handle, profile and email address.
  • Your games, replays, Daily results and streak.
  • Your friends, blocks, challenges and reports you've made.
  • Your purchases' unlocks, Gems, cosmetics and XP.
  • Your sign-in methods and push notification token.

What is kept

  • Leaderboard scores stay, but without your name, so other players' rankings don't change.
  • Analytics events, which carry a profile ID but no name or email, expire within ninety days.
  • Duels and matches you played stay, without your name, because the other player played them too.
  • Purchase receipts stay, without your name, as financial records. Apple and Google keep their own copies.

Scores, streaks and settings saved on your phone stay there until you delete the app. Deleting your account can't be undone, even if you sign in again. See the privacy policy for more.
